John Bargren is a board-certified general orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in a variety of orthopedic conditions treating the upper and lower extremities. He served in the U.S. Army in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Madigan General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington from 1969-1971.
Dr. Bargren was a clinical professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington and a lecturer for the University of Puget Sound Physical Therapy Department. He is the author of several articles and presentations on joint replacement and sports medicine.
Dr. Bargren was the team physician for the Tacoma Star Soccer team for ten years and his love for soccer continues. Dr. Bargren is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, running, reading and golf.
