Hip Arthroscopy

GENERAL INFORMATION

In order to pinpoint the correct diagnosis of a hip problem a hip arthroscopy procedure may be needed. A hip arthroscopy is a surgical action where a small camera is inserted into the hip region. Using various videos and photographs a surgeon is able to diagnose hip problems and guide smaller instruments into the hip for small incisions. This kind of procedure is less invasive as it does not require a large incision, usually creates less pain and has a shorter recovery time post-surgery.
