Shoulder Replacement

The shoulder joint is compiled of three bones: the humerus, scapula and clavicle. These three (3) bones connect at the socket and are held firmly in place by tendons, muscles and ligaments. Unfortunately, due to repetitive use, and numerous conditions, severe damage can be done to this joint that can be unrepairable. The shoulder joint replacement procedure has become a popular fix over the years for all these problems. It involves replacing the joint with a metal ball and plastic socket.
