Spotlight on Kristin Corner

Give a big guten tag to Kristin Corner, one of our Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologists. She’s been with Puget Sound Orthopaedics for seven years and is now leaving to live in Germany. We wanted to give her a moment in the spotlight to show our appreciation to her efforts and time she has given us. When Kristin first started with us she was an X-Ray technologist and one thing she tells me is “I’ve grown here in my career. I used to be an X-Ray tech and now I’m in MRI.” Although her career is important to her, Kristin cherishes most the wonderful interactions she’s had with patients and the friendships she has made with her co-workers.

“When my husband said there was a possibility of moving to Germany for a new job I didn’t even hesitate. I told him to apply and let’s go.” Kristin is an adventurous spirit and she shows that through her hobbies. She enjoys hiking, boating, skiing and exploring any other kind of terrain as long as it is outside. “I have a ‘get up and go’ kind of attitude” and she is looking forward to her move to Germany. She can’t wait to explore Europe over the next few years and she hopes to go to Switzerland, Austria and France the most. She has already been active and adventurous in her life: Kristin’s favorite vacation was her destination wedding in Maui and Kauai and she enjoys running on her free time, even participating in a half marathon. She tells me with a smile that she enjoys running on her lunch.

On top of her outgoing spirit Kristin has a great personality and enough humor to share with everyone. Her favorite treat is cheesecake and her favorite food is potatoes. I can’t blame her, there are so many delicious ways to eat potatoes and they are hard not to love. If she could travel anywhere in the world she would go to Antarctica because no one goes there but if she could travel anywhere in the solar system she would choose Mars “because I want to find life on Mars.” If she could travel back in time it would be the sixties to enjoy the good music and go to Woodstock.

Thank you for staying with us for so long, Kristin, and we wish you the best on your future adventures in Europe!
